Beyond Evil

A serial murder case that occurred 20 years ago resurfaces in a quiet village. Dong Sik, a police officer, was labeled a "monster" by the villagers in the past as a suspect in his sister's disappearance. Then, while living a quiet life working at a police substation, Han Ju Won, an elite detective from Seoul, joins him, and the buried case resurfaces. Ju Won strongly suspects Dong Sik from the start of the investigation, but contrarily, Dong Sik doesn't reveal his true nature. The villagers also seem suspicious of secrets, and the truth of the incident rarely exposes itself. Ju Won also appears to be hiding his past, and the relationship between the two becomes tense. Evidence is hard to find, and only their suspicions of one another grow. The murder case becomes more intricate as the battle for the truth unfolds around the identity of the monster hiding within the village. Amid the suspicion and psychological warfare, who is the monster?
